Women's Psychologist - Laura Grace

Chronic pain can have a huge impact on your life and require significant adjustment. Chronic pelvic pain, in particular, can have a far-reaching impact on your social life, career, time spent with family, sex life and your relationship with your partner. Psychologist Laura Grace can assist you in coping with the impact of pain, and to live a full life by providing you with support and space to navigate the emotional side of your condition. Laura helps women, their partners and families to maintain their health and wellbeing and navigate the challenges that chronic pain or pregnancy can bring.

Laura Grace is a registered psychologist who makes a positive difference to the lives of the patients she works with. She holds a Masters of Applied Psychology (Health) from the University of Queensland and entered the profession to assist people in alleviating their concerns and improving their wellbeing.

Laura provides assessment and therapy to patients, and helps them to cope more effectively with life and to bring about change in their lives. Her experience includes adjustment to and management of chronic pain and illness, a variety of mental health concerns across ages, and working with women who have terminated pregnancy due to foetal abnormality. Of particular interest is chronic pain, perinatal mental health, and anxiety and obsessive compulsive disorders in all age groups.

Laura enjoys helping patients to feel empowered in achieving improved mental wellbeing and supporting them in improving their quality of life. She feels lucky to be invited to sit with them and hear their stories.
