Exercise delivers many benefits, especially for new mums. It doesn’t just strengthen muscles and help you recover from labour, it raises your energy levels and is great for your mental wellbeing.
Even if you’re feeling fantastic after having your baby, it’s important that your return to exercise happens at the right time for you, and that the approach you take is appropriate for you and safe.
Missfit Personal Training offers a six-week fitness training program for mums who are ready to recommence exercise, get into shape and return to their pre-baby self. It also supports you with six weeks of healthy eating options to complement your fitness program and to nurture your body and your baby.
Baby Boot Camp brings together like-minded mums who are ready to move and love doing it. Activities include fast-paced walking or jogging with prams, abdominal strengthening, body weight training, circuits and boxing. It’s more than just another exercise class, it’s a place to make new friends and share your new-parent experiences.
Bubs are welcome too – each Baby Boot Camp offers a child-minding service and your babies are always within sight. For some exercise activities, your babies get involved too.
- Classes run Monday, Wednesday and Friday @ 9.30am
- Classes take place at MissFit, 429 Old Cleveland Road, Coorparoo
- Each class is 1hr duration
- You have the freedom to choose to commit to either two or three classes each week, for six weeks
Sign-up when you are ready. It is recommended that you commence no sooner than six weeks after a natural birth or eight weeks after a c-section, providing you are feeling ready and your obstetrician supports your decision. But there is no rush. MissFit also sees new mums three-, six- and nine-months post-partum – it all comes down to when you’re ready.
