
Dr Melissa McKenzie completed her medical degree with honours at the University of Queensland in Brisbane in 2005 and was awarded her Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists fellowship in February 2014. Specialising in obstetrics and gynaecology, she provides quality care for women of all ages and at all stages of life.
She has a special interest in high-risk patients and, in particular, obstetrics; she spent three years in tertiary hospitals in Queensland pursuing this interest. Before joining Greenslopes Obstetrics and Gynaecology, she spent 18 months as the Senior Registrar at Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital.
Dr McKenzie is committed to ongoing professional development as evidenced by her attendance at scientific meetings and symposiums, and participation in multiple workshops. She has recently attended neonatal resuscitation, fetal surveillance, surgical complications, ultrasound and laparoscopic workshops.
Dr McKenzie can assist with pre-pregnancy counselling, antenatal care, natural deliveries and caesarean sections, postnatal care and the full range of women’s health issues.
