Diabetes Educator

Involved in establishing the Queensland Diabetes Centre at the Mater in 1997, the first service in Queensland to provide multidisciplinary, specialised care for people of all ages with diabetes, she has a high degree of clinical skill and expertise in all aspects of diabetes education and management, including:

• gestational diabetes
• T1 & T2 diabetes
• insulin initiation and titration
• Continuous Subcutaneous Insulin Infusion (CSII)
• carbohydrate counting and dietary guidance
• continuous glucose monitoring

Working as an independent practitioner from Greenslopes Obstetrics & Gynaecology rooms since 2015, Rita helps you achieve optimum health potential and improved overall wellbeing through an individualised approach centred on evidence-based best practice.
