Baby Business

Bec is a Registered Midwife, who has a passion for supporting families or individuals as they transition into parenthood. An International Board-Certified Lactation Consultant, Bec understands that breastfeeding can be a rewarding, yet challenging experience that sometimes requires a little extra support and advice. Her qualification in this area allows her to be hands on and offer new parents the skills and techniques to thrive on their journey. An avid learner, Bec continued her education, gaining accreditation as an Endorsed Midwife. This endorsement meant she was eligible for a Medicare Provider Number, and until six-weeks postpartum, could offer her patients bulk billing (for video consultations), as well as Medicare rebates for most other services.

The journey to becoming a new parent is exciting and filled with nerves, Bec finds that connecting with parents-to-be towards the end of the pregnancy can often be invaluable. She believes that by developing strong relationships, it enables her to set new parents up for success, while nurturing them in the early stages of parenthood to trust their instincts and make informed decisions about what is best for their baby. It’s a dream of Bec’s to share her knowledge of newborn behaviour and reassure parents that everything they are experiencing is perfectly normal, which can make all the difference in those early days. Offering a holistic approach, Bec believes in an inclusive environment that supports without judgement and guides new parents to develop invaluable skills and confidence to relax and follow their intuition when it comes to caring for their baby.
