Perinatal and Postnatal Services

The arrival of your baby is a time of great celebration for you and your family. However, it can also present new challenges and questions. With the right support and information, you, your baby and your family will thrive during this time.

Greenslopes Obstetrics and Gynaecology offers a comprehensive range of postnatal services to help you manage your health and wellbeing, and your baby’s growth and development.

When baby comes home: information session — breastfeeding, cry-fuss and gut problems, sleep and parent mood

Hosted onsite in our consulting rooms and run in partnership with Possums Education and Research Centre, these small-group information sessions for expecting parents are designed to ease the nerves of becoming a new parent. Delivered by the experienced Possums team, they offer insight into what life will be like for you and your baby in the early stages after baby comes home.

Topics include:

  • what to expect from your new baby when you arrive home from hospital
  • latest evidence-based advice on infant sleep, settling and feeding your baby
  • how Possum programs can help and support you.

The two-hour sessions are run on the first Saturday of every month by Renee Keogh, lactation consultant and neuroprotective developmental care (NDC) accredited practitioner. The cost is $50 and includes attendance by you and one support person.

Find out more here, visit Possums online or contact us to register your interest in attending our next scheduled session.
