What to Bring to Hospital

Your trip to the hospital can be an exciting and chaotic event. We’ve included a quick checklist of things to pack before you leave home, so you don’t forget any essentials.

For the birthing suite:

Your admission booklet
Drinks and sugary sweets
Reading material, music and DVD player
Camera/video recorder
Nightwear and socks for after you have given birth

For your room:

Nighties/dressing gown
Comfortable casual clothing and footwear
Toiletries including tissues and sanitary pads
Maternity bras and nursing pads
Health fund card and Medicare card
Money for incidentals
Pen and paper
Watch or clock

For your baby:

Clothes to take your baby home in
Nappies
Singlets
Bunny rug
